Pionier Farm (Denmark)
We have always had a passion for horses, and since 1998 we have been giving trail rides on our ranch in Denmark using a variety of different horses. We were never looking for a special breed and instead simply focused on good disposition.
In 2012 our fascination for the Nokotas began after seeing them for just a few minutes during a report on german TV. We, touched by their unique disposition and history, could not get these horses out of our minds. A few weeks later we contacted Seth & Emma Zeigler, and in May of 2013 we visited both Leo Kuntz on the Kuntz Ranch and the Conservancy. We instantly fell in love with these horses – watching them wild and free
on the open range. Even those who had never been touched were inquisitive, friendly, and forthcoming with their body language. We decided to train and import seven 100% foundation horses ( 5 fillies and 2 young stallions ), and do it ourselves from the quarantine through the flight, in September of 2013.
Over 12 years later, we are still impressed by this intelligent, athletic, sociable, and reliable horses. You can feel the spirit
and the deep connection they are building with humans. We try to keep their special natural behavior and social structure with a growing herd of mares, 2 breeding stallions and 2 future stallions. Hopefully can we help on promoting and preserving the Nokota breed and increase the population in Europe.
They are awesome and have to be saved for future generations!
